Brief description

:

The project was  executed at the industrial facilities of Hellenic Petroleum in the region of Aspropyrgos, Attica and included the following works:

In principle, the project concerned the upgrade of units U-3500 and U-3700 Α/Β including removal of old equipment and installation of new with the product networks and utilities.

In particular:

§     Before stopping the units there was performance of all preparations and pre-construction of  steel structures, pipe networks, electric panels and instruments and there was installation of all structures that were able to install during operation of the units

§     During Units  Shut Down the following works were performed:

-            Removal of old equipment and installation of new, addition of additional equipment (hydrogen-desulphurization  heat exchangers,  vessels, etc), interventions to existing equipment (i.e. nozzles replacement), repairs and equipment maintenance

-            Interconnection of equipment (new – old) with piping networks, replacement of existing networks, local interventions (hydrogen network, sulphur – jacket, steam and other products)

-            Full reconstruction of underground liquid sulphur tank ΡΙΤ Ρ-3701Α. Tank cleaning, removal of all steam serpentines, repair construction works and special sealing of the tank, installation and connection of new sulphur serpentines

-            Electrical works and works on the instruments for the operation of the Unit as per the new design

-            Quality control works, tests (pipe networks, electrics and instruments), thermal insulation works and sand blasting, painting.

 Networks cross sections: ½" ÷ 48", thicknesses up to 22mm

Materials: carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel.

Products networks tests and utilities: 6 bar ÷ 180 bar

82% of all works were performed within a period of 32 days during the units turn around.

The equipment and pipes networks, electrical works and instruments materials were supplied by the Owner of the project.

The materials of steel structures and supports, electrical grids, sand-blasting - paints and insulation were procured by our company.
